Yudhishthir was stupid

This may be an unpopular opinion or maybe one of the most popular ones. After today’s episode of Mahabharata on the DD Bharti channel, I saw how he gambled everything he had away.

He was stupid for that. He had plenty of stops where he could have stepped back and quit. But on the hope to win everything back, he one-upped his bets each time and lost.

He displays the extremities of a gambling addict. But he was stupid.

If everyone around you is crying and suffering and you claim that you can do whatever you want and gamble everything away, well, then you are one jackass.

There is just no softer way to put it.

When everyone is imploring you to stop and you gamble even your brothers and wife away, you are stupid.

I don’t know how his brothers kept respecting him after that. Perhaps the stupidity was genetic?
