We are not here because we love economic growth

In prehistoric times, people have been living in small tribes, hunting and gathering. Look how far we as a species have come.

It is not because those people in ancient times, and the successive generations, got around a bonfire and discussed economic growth. They did not prepare plans for their GDP and policies.

They just did one thing: they took care of each other, locally.

Each group, each tribe doing that for millennia has launched us to the prosperity we enjoy in present times. Of course, that prosperity is not equally distributed.

In the current crisis brought on by coronavirus, we must not think about economic progress and policies. We must learn from history and realize that if each local group decides to protect each other, then we will survive with much fewer losses and able to recover the economy in its due time.
