How to write about a topic in detail

Some books that I read recently taught me how I can write about any topic in detail. Here are the lessons I learnt:

  • Write about its importance.
  • Find out real-life stories and cases where it is relevant, and we can inspect in action. Find out where it was observed, and where it was not. The more examples, the better.
  • Generate creative metaphors to drive the point home.
  • Write about the many effects.
  • Apply all the above lessons to any sub-point you come across, but don’t stray away from the point.

(Ironically, I have not yet written on a topic in detail. I recently absorbed these lessons while reading books and became aware of them today. I am now excited to apply them and improve my writing.)

(Please follow my blog. It’s one tap for you and it helps me. You’ll get instant updates when I post something. Thanks.)
