Have you ever been generous and kind to someone and they took advantage of you?

Congratulations. You just learned a valuable life lesson. Some people are going to take advantage of your kind heart for their own personal benefit.

But so what? Be kind anyway. This is a problem. How to be kind without being a doormat. How to be generous and not let people take advantage of you.

Figure out the answers to this problem and be kind anyway.

Just because someone abused your trust does not mean everyone is going to. Be careful but don’t withdraw in a shell. We are humans and our brains love connections. Find the ones worthwhile.
