Conversation is a skill. The more you deliberately practice, the better you get at it.

This is a skill that is taught almost nowhere. The basics are touched upon in schools, but not worth standing out. It is like teaching kids how to read letters of an alphabet and then leaving it at that.

There are coaches out there who teach politicians, actors, businesspersons, etc., how to excel at conversing with other humans.

And like any other important skill, developing good conversation takes years. The more people you meet, the more you realize how to handle nuances with each and every person.

You make mistakes along the way, and you learn through them. You read and learn from the mistakes of others. A skill worth an investment of millions!”
