Drop by drop a book forms
I have not yet seen any book created by water drops. Let’s see in the future. But you may have heard: drop by drop an ocean forms.
The same is true for a book. Word by word, a book takes shape. Let me elaborate.
A typical book, fiction format, has about 60k-100k words in it.
If I write every day just 100 words, I will be able to write over 35k words in a year! That is a novel every couple of years. 100 words each day is just a paragraph of words. There is no excuse I cannot do it each day. 100 words take about 10 minutes to write at snail speed.
And if I strain and increase my writing endurance to 200 words each day, right there I have doubled my output. One novel a year. That’s about 20 minutes of writing each day.
Breaking down the huge overwhelming tasks tends to make it simpler and take out its sting.
