Crippling perfection
When you get behind the wheel of a car for the first time and expect yourself to drive perfectly, no jerks, no sudden engine death, no braking too early or too late, then you will never even move the car. You have to be lenient with yourself to a degree of mistakes and learn from them.
Too often, we set ourselves up for crippling anxiety and inaction by overwhelming ideas of being perfect in the first go. We want to do so much, we end up doing nothing. If only we left some room for mistakes as we keep space between cars on the highway, we would reach some amazing places.
Learning to be okay with mistakes is one of the best skills we must learn in these modern times.
