Competition is good
Monopolies are arrogant. They are selfish. They don’t tend to worry about their customers.
Competition drives companies and services to think more about the value they provide to the customers rather than the cash they can squeeze out of the customers.
That is why monopolies should always be discouraged. And we should always be wary about being arrogant about our superior position.
Humility is always better.
