Learning something new

Chances are you want to learn something. It is new to you. It overwhelms you. That is why you haven’t even begun it.

But to see results, all it takes is a few months of consistent efforts. In some cases, even a few weeks are enough.

Follow these steps:

1. Start with the easy. Let it sink in your mind.
2. Practice using examples.
3. Continue the practice every day. It is ok to miss sometimes, but the reason should be significant, not being lazy.
4. Don’t expect immediate results and keep doing it.

After a few months have passed, look back. You will see that you have come a long way from whence you started. You will be proud of yourself. Pat yourself. Putting consistent efforts is not easy. You have become better. You have grown. Revel in the peace brought about by growth.

The steps are easy, but the time-frame is long. In our current instant dopamine hits world, delaying gratification gives you a superpower.
