Beware the vague words

Vague words are like nuclear power. You won’t guess they pack such a punch by looking at them. They have the potential of creating a huge circle of influence.

Anyone can spout vague words. Children do it all the time. But the skillful fire them with the skill of a sniper. Stringing together a bunch of vague words such that it creates meaning in the mind of the listener is a whole new level of power.

That is how the politicians manipulate the masses. They are even known for it yet people keep falling for the same old tricks. That’s how powerful they are. The paramount example are spiritual gurus who dislodge vague words like a cow farts methane. Everything that comes out of their mouth seems correct until you stop to think about the sense behind it. But that’s what you don’t do with the right sequence of words. They lull you into surrender and uncritical belief.
