Anger is a lens

Every one of us gets angry. No surprises there. But very few of us know how anger distorts our reality, subtly changing our worldview.

Anger is a lens. Through it, we see a magnified image of the problems in the other person. They can seem close to reality at the moment, but many times they are blown out of proportion. Other times, the positive qualities are pushed away as if they are microscopic even though they are much more prominent.

It is hard to remember this when we are angry. But later on, when we cool down, we can try to take off the distorting lens of anger and attempt to see the objective reality.
