About long term goals
Long term goals are great. They require plenty of efforts. You experience content after achieving them. But to create something grand and valuable you need more time.
The problem is: in daily life, it is arduous to work for the long term. Why?
You have 24 hours per day and there is only so much you can do in those hours. If you tally your performance every day, it may seem that you are not making progress at all. You may not see any indication of progress for weeks or even months. It is disheartening.
You have to stop expecting anything from the short-term efforts. You should understand that the actions you take every day are vital to reaching the goals years down the road. But you need to perform those daily actions even if they seem ineffective and do not produce any short-term results.
It is like a company that does not display any quarterly growth and results despite working hard.
Just keep your head down and do the work. Keep reminding that your actions today will bear fruit months or years later but, you have to do them.
